NICO ROBIN

Nico Robin joined her first pirate crew at age 8. However, after the World Government caught up with her new crew, they assumed she had betrayed them. She fled before the pirates turned their anger against her.
She was first introduced as the vice president of Baroque Works and secondary antagonist of the Alabasta Saga, known as Miss All Sunday, before joining the Straw Hat Pirates.

NAMI

Nami was formerly a member of the Arlong Pirates and initially joined the Straw Hats in order to rob them for her real crew in order to buy back her village from Arlong, but joined the Straw Hats for real after they rebelled against and defeated Arlong.
She’s the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates and her dream is to make a map of the entire world.

Basil Hawkins is an infamous pirate from North Blue known as the “Magician” and the captain of the Hawkins Pirates.
After encountering Kaido, he joined the Beasts Pirates and became one of the crew’s Headliners.

Scratchmen Apoo is a longarm and the captain of the On Air Pirates.
After Jack’s defeat, Apoo contacted Kaido and informed him that communications with Jack had been lost. Referring to the Yonko as “Kaido-san” and reporting this news to him via a Den Den Mushi, it indicated that Apoo was now assisting the Beasts Pirates on some level.

INUARASHI

Duke Inuarashi is one of the two rulers of the Mokomo Dukedom, dubbed the “Ruler of Day” as he rules over the Mokomo Dukedom from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
He was once a member of the Whitebeard Pirates and Roger Pirates, serving under Kozuki Oden.

NEKOMAMUSHI

Master Nekomamushi is the guardian of the Whale Forest on Zou, dubbed the “Ruler of Night” as he rules over the Mokomo Dukedom from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. He and Inuarashi serve as retainers for the Kozuki Family of Wano Country.
Alongside Inuarashi, he was once a member of the Whitebeard Pirates and Roger Pirates, serving under Kozuki Oden.

ARLONG

During his childhood, Arlong grew up in the Fish-Man District along with Jinbe, Macro, and Fisher Tiger. When he was 25 years old, he formed his own crew, the Arlong Pirates.
After Fisher Tiger attacked Mary Geoise, became an enemy of the World Government, and formed the Sun Pirates, Arlong and his crew integrated with Tiger’s Sun Pirates.
Despite his enormous respect for Tiger, Arlong was unable to fulfill his final wish of being at peace with humans; if anything, Tiger’s death is what led Arlong’s relationship with humans to corrode even further. Tiger was the only reason why Arlong remained in the Sun Pirates, as when Jinbe took over and became a Shichibukai, Arlong departed.

PORTGAS D. ACE

Portgas D. Ace was the son of the late Pirate King, Gol D. Roger and his lover, Portgas D. Rouge.
He was the 2nd division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and one-time captain of the Spade Pirates.
Hunted by the World Government for his lineage, Ace was captured and sentenced to death, which resulted in the Battle of Marineford in an all out clash of powers. Ace was freed, but he sacrificed his life to protect his younger brother from Akainu.

CAPONE BEGE

Capone “Gang” Bege is a mafia don-turned-pirate and the captain of the Fire Tank Pirates.
During the timeskip, he became a subordinate of Charlotte Linlin and married Charlotte Chiffon. The two have a son named Capone Pez.
While working under the Big Mom Pirates, he held a position of a rook combatant.
Bege formed a temporary alliance with the Straw Hat Pirates in order to kill Big Mom. After his plan failed, Bege effectively became an enemy of the Yonko and her crew.

X DRAKE

Drake is the son of the Marine-turned-pirate Diez Barrels, and as a young adult was called Dory. When the Donquixote Pirates invaded Barrels’ hideout 13 years ago, he abandoned the Barrels Pirates as they were trapped and massacred.
So Drake became a Marine and rose to the rank of Rear Admiral. However, he later decided to become pirate and the captain of the Drake Pirates.
Currently, X Drake serves the Beasts Pirates, the pirate crew led by Kaido, as one of the crew’s Flying Six, six of the strongest Headliners.

MARSHALL D. TEACH

Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, is the admiral of the Blackbeard Pirates and the newest member of the Yonko.
He started out his pirate career as a member of the Whitebeard Pirates‘ 2nd division, until he murdered Thatch, the 4th division commander, for the Yami Yami no Mi and defected.

TRAFALGAR D. WATER LAW

Law is a pirate from North Blue and the captain and doctor of the Heart Pirates. He is one of twelve pirates who are referred to as the “Worst Generation”.
Trafalgar Law is a former member of the Donquixote Pirates. He was once a subordinate whom Doflamingo treated as a younger brother before his defection.

EDWARD NEWGATE

Edward Newgate, more commonly known as “Whitebeard”, was the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and was known as “The Strongest Man in the World” and “The Man closest to One Piece” after Gol D. Roger’s death. He was a member of the Yonko that ruled over the New World until his death during the Battle of Marineford.
He set out to sea when he was still a young man, sailing as a pirate with other crews. Some years before he founded the Whitebeard Pirates, he joined a “certain group of pirates” which the One Piece Vivre Card Databook Vol 4 kinda implies to be the Rocks Pirates.

SHANKS

Shanks is the captain of the Red Hair Pirates and a member of the Yonko that rule over the New World. He is also a former member of the legendary Roger Pirates, the only group to successfully conquer the Grand Line.
Notably, he is the pirate who inspired Luffy to go on his journey as a pirate, and he found the Gomu Gomu no Mi that was accidentally eaten by Luffy.

BUGGY

Buggy the Star Clown is the captain of the Buggy Pirates as well as the co-leader of the Buggy and Alvida Alliance, and a former apprentice of the Roger Pirates. Shortly after the Battle of Marineford, he became a member of the Shichibukai and the leader of the pirate dispatch organization “Buggy’s Delivery”.

BROOK

“Soul King” Brook is the musician of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is a Devil Fruit user who ate the Yomi Yomi no Mi, and is undead, having been brought back into a pseudo-immortal state because of its powers.
Brook is the ninth member of the Straw Hat crew, and the eighth to join Luffy’s crew, as well as being the oldest and the tallest member on board.
Brook is a former member of the Rumbar Pirates. They met their end upon entering into the Florian Triangle.

JINBE

“Knight of the Sea” Jinbe was the second captain of the Sun Pirates after Fisher Tiger.
Currently, Jinbe is a member of the Straw Hat Pirates and also a helmsman in his current capacity with them. As of now, he is officially the tenth member of the Straw Hat Pirates and the ninth to join Luffy’s crew, as well as being the only member from Fishman Island.

KOZUKI ODEN

Kozuki Oden was the daimyo of Kuri in Wano Country, the son of the former Shogun of Wano Country Kozuki Sukiyaki, the husband of Kozuki Toki, and the father of Kozuki Momonosuke and Kozuki Hiyori.
However, Oden felt too cramped in Wano, and he, Inuarashi, and Nekomamushi left the country illegally and set sail with the Whitebeard Pirates. Oden later sailed with the Roger Pirates, and went with them to Raftel.
Over 20 years before the present, Oden left Roger’s crew and returned to Wano Country, despite the country’s rules on leaving and returning to its borders. Around that time, he was executed in the Flower Capital by Kaido and Kurozumi Orochi for refusing to divulge information of Raftel, and he died without passing on the knowledge of the Poneglyphs to Momonosuke. His last words to his son and retainers were to open Wano to the outside world.
