In the next chapters Zoro will be able to push through the pain and damage showing his immense growth

I’ve noticed that there is some controversy regarding the super Mink medicine that will be used on Zoro. While I do agree Oda didn’t really foreshadow this well (or at all), but I think it will be excusable.

This is because I believe the medicine will wear off before Zoro is able to accomplish what he needs to, leading to great potential for interesting developments.

Whether it is fighting King 1 on 1 or something else, I believe Zoro will have to face the side effects of the medicine in the middle of the raid. This way Zoro has to face his biggest obstacle yet, after Kuma’s pain bubble.

This will be a nice parallel to the moment in Sabaody as Zoro will be in a similar condition. Specifically when the Straw Hats were in trouble and Zoro was too exhausted to do anything. If Zoro is able to push through the pain and damage that will show his immense growth and show how far the Straw Hats in general have grown. If he fails, it will humble him again and give him a chance to reflect on himself, leading to moments of great character growth.

I personally would find it really interesting if Zoro collapsed due to his injuries. That would open a path for some really interesting self reflectoon from Zoro which I think has been lacking lately. I don’t see Oda missing this opportunity. The medicine running out is a win-win scenario really, either way Zoro will get a great moment, fitting for the samurai arc. This is probably the purpose of making Zoro tank Kaido and Big Mom’s attack.
