Revealed A New Member Of The Rocks Pirates!

The Rocks Pirates were a legendary and powerful pirate crew that sailed the seas until their defeat 38 years ago. They were considered to be the most dangerous and strongest pirate crew of their time. Led by their enigmatic captain, Rocks D. Xebec, they gathered a fearsome roster of crew members, many of whom would go on to become some of the most infamous figures in the world of pirates. Let’s see who they are:

1-ROCKS D. XEBEC

Rocks D. Xebec was was considered to be the first and most formidable rival of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, even more so than his then-subordinate Newgate would come to be.
Based on stories of his exploits, Rocks appeared to be an incredibly vicious and ambitious man, having no care as to who he attacked as long as he could garner power for himself and leading his crew to destroy whoever interfered with his ambitions. He was also quite fearless and ruthlessly indiscriminate, as he had no issue with killing World Nobles or their slaves if it suit his wishes.
Rocks’ dream was to become the King of the World.
38 years before the present, Rocks led his crew on a mission that endangered the World Nobles and their slaves. At God Valley, the Rocks Pirates were intercepted by Monkey D. Garp and Gol D. Roger, who had formed an alliance. A massive battle ensued, resulting in the dissolution of the crew. According to Sengoku, Rocks is no longer alive.

2-EDWARD NEWGATE

Edward Newgate, more commonly known as “Whitebeard”, was the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates and widely known as the “Strongest Man in the World” and the “Man Closest to One Piece” after Gol D. Roger’s death.
In the past before forming his own crew, he was a member of the legendary Rocks Pirates and later in life he became a member of the Yonko that rule over the New World, before his death in the Battle of Marineford.
It’s unknown what kind of relationship he had with Rocks, but it can be assumed that Whitebeard had immense respect for Xebec, since he willingly worked under him alongside other members who he had nothing but disdain for.

3-CHARLOTTE LINLIN

Charlotte Linlin, better known as Big Mom, is the captain of the Big Mom Pirates.
Decades ago before the formation of her own crew, Linlin became part of the Rocks Pirates and battled with Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp during the God Valley Incident. Her captain Rocks D. Xebec was killed during the battle, resulting in the crew’s dissolution.
Big Mom had sought to become Pirate King and reach Laugh Tale even before the Great Age of Pirates. Over 24 years ago, Gol D. Roger managed to read Big Mom’s Road Poneglyph, allowing him to beat her to Laugh Tale.

4-KAIDO

Kaido of the Beasts, also known as the “Strongest Creature in the World” and has the reputation of being unable to die. At least over 40 years ago, Kaido was an apprentice in the Rocks Pirates, where he ate the rare Mythical Zoan fruit, the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu. Sometime since becoming a pirate, he had been defeated seven times and captured eighteen times by the Marines and the other Yonko. During said captures, Kaido was repeatedly tortured and given the death sentence forty times. However, no method of execution was effective on him, and Kaido managed to sink nine massive prison ships that held him.

5-SHIKI

Shiki the Golden Lion, also known as the “Flying Pirate”, is the admiral of the Golden Lion Pirates and the first known prisoner ever to escape from Impel Down.
Alongside Roger and Whitebeard, Shiki is one of the most powerful pirates of his generation.
Very little is known of his past, aside from the fact that he was a member of the legendary Rocks Pirates, along with future Yonko Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom.
33 years ago, after the Rocks Pirates disbanded, Shiki formed his own crew, the Golden Lion Pirates.

6-CAPTAIN JOHN

John, better known as Captain John, was a famous pirate. Prior to forming his own crew, he used to be a member of the Rocks Pirates. He was notable for collecting one of the most significant treasures in the world; his fabled treasure cave and the riches within are notably long sought after by Buggy.
After his death, his corpse was found by Dr. Hogback and modified into one of the General Zombies of Gecko Moria.

7-BUCKINGHAM STUSSY

In Chapter 1072 it is revealed that Stussy is a clone of Miss Buckingham Stussy, a former member of the Rocks Pirates. Being a clone of Buckingham Stussy, Stussy is presumably identical to the original in terms of appearance.

8/9-SILVER AXE & OCHOKU

Other official members are two supposedly infamous individuals known by the names of “Silver Axe” and Ochoku, though they are not as well known.

In Chapter 1096, almost all members of the Rocks Pirates crew are seen arriving on the God Valley Island. Among them was also Gloriosa, the former empress of the Kuja tribe from one generation before Shakky, two generations before an unknown Kuja, and three generations before Boa Hancock took over. She is more commonly referred to as “Elder Nyon”.

Being a former Empress of the Kuja Tribe, Gloriosa was undoubtedly an incredibly powerful Kuja in her prime.

If you remember back to the end of the Amazon Lily arc, Gloriosa, or Elder Nyon, left Amazon Lily after being struck by the same love sickness that is currently plaguing Hancock, and this is the first confirmation of where she ended up. This may also mean that Gloriosa was in love with Rocks D. Xebec, or someone on his crew, but given what Shiki says to her, I think it is safe to assume that Gloriosa was romantically involved with Rocks. One could say she’s in love with Whitebeard, given that Shiki says this line in response to Gloriosa critiquing Stussy’s love of Whitebeard, but given that we don’t see her acting all woozy and crazy, much like how Hancock does when she’s near Luffy, I think Gloriosa’s partner is more likely going to be Xebec D. Rocks.
