The Reason why Luffy’s Alliance will defeat Kaido and Big Mom

So with the recent chapter and the focus on the Flying Six and their banter about who would become the next Calamity and the general (disrespectful) way they talked about Kaido, the crew and each other really got me thinking.

It is well elaborated on by now that the Wano arc is all about loyalty, ideals, prejudices and superficiality to some extend – and treason, spies and lies as a consequence. We have traitors in pretty much every faction for different reasons. Kanjuro betraying Oden and supporting Orochi because he gives him meaning and they share a common unrightful persecution.

Drake working undercover as a marine because he follows his ideals.

Denjiro betraying Orochi out of loyalty to Oden etc.

Speaking of: Oden as a character and his flashback is the backbone of this arc, so you will see characters and motives show up again in the current time line. And since his character has such a gravity to the One Piece story, his ideals and his world view is gonna show some parallels in the current time line / upcoming war. Just one more background information before I get to my point: It was shown that Oden’s way of thinking was also flawed – they way he wanted to manage his country/ vassals probably led to his death. Oden never asked for help, but he was virtuous and had a pure heart so people followed him anyway and supported his cause.

Small conclusion to this point: We have different characters in this arc that manage their virtues and allegiances differently thus leading to treason and demise.

Now what has yet to come but is ineviteable: The Yonko alliance between Big Mom and Kaido has to split up and fail for the possibility of a victory for the NinjaPirateMinkSamurai Alliance.
