The True Plan of Vegapunk Explained!

Vegapunk’s whole announcement? Total misdirection. The ten-minute countdown and the spiel about needing video transponder snails? Just a stall tactic.

Recent chapter showed even Kaya’s loaded but couldn’t snag a video transponder snail. So, what chance do regular citizens have?

And that ten-minute window? Not too long, not too short, just enough to freak out the Gorosei over whatever Vegapunk’s cooking up. But why the delay?

Here’s my take: he’s baiting himself to lure the Gorosei away from Imu. Kinda like in Hunter x Hunter, split up the royal guards to isolate the king.

Vegapunk knows the Gorosei will throw everything they’ve got to stop him, so he hits up Dragon to put this plan in motion. While the Gorosei are scrambling, Imu’s left exposed in Mary Geoise with only the God Knights for backup. And yeah, we’re not sure how tough those God Knights are, but they can’t be tougher than the Gorosei. That’s where Dragon and the Revolutionary Army come in. They’ll handle business and wreak havoc in the Mary Geoise.

So, Vegapunk’s playing two sides: warning and informing the masses of the truth of the world and giving Dragon a shot at the World Government.
