I like how One Piece brings foward the inherited will.
This time Yamato is the one who inherited Oden’s will, while Momonosuke had this will “forced” on him, and that alongside how he was shown suffering under Oden’s shadow made me hate all the theories that supported Momonosuke as a new Nakama (or really, the ones according to which Momonsuke joins the Straw Hat Pirates crew to prove himself).
But now, we have a perfect candidate (who inherited Oden’s will) to join the Straw Hats with Yamato. Of course we have only known Yamato for 2 chapters, but considering the link to Ace and Oden, I don’t think it’s too much of a reach to consider this possibility.
So really, at the end of Wano arc, I think both Carrot (Pedro’s will), and Yamato (Oden’s will) will be stowaway on the Sunny, just like Oden, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi were for Whitebeard (and then Roger for the Minks).
