Why Egghead is the Best Arc in One Piece
After completing re-reading of all the GOAT arcs like Marineford, Enies Lobby, Wano.. I can safely say that Egghead is the greatest arc till date ( and of course it’s not yet finished.) Take some time for my explanation.
For my best arcs ever it was always Marineford, Enies Lobby and Wano. Marineford was the most ambitious and grandiose arc, Enies Lobby was the most personal and Wano had the highest stakes. But for me Egghead clearly sweeped all of them!
1-AMBITION: I think this is a point we can all agree. Can anybody argue that Egghead is the most CHAOTIC arc yet!!! The destruction of Lullusia, Blackbeard invading Amazon Lily, Blackbeard vs Law, Garp vs the pirate island, movement of the RED HAIRED PIRATES, death of Cobra and Sabo’s escape were all before even the start of the ‘Egghead Incident’. The real chaos begins after CPO comes into play. There was a time when I thought nothing but only the final war could top the Paramount War, but now just to think about the situation at Egghead gives me goosebumps. At one side there is an Admiral, the Five Elders, CPO, 50 naval ships operating a Buster Call, all those Vice Admirals and hell at a point there was all the Warlords (technically…actually Seraphims) and on the on the other side there’s our Straw Hat Pirates crew, the Giant Pirates, the Pacifistas and the remaining satelites of Vegapunk. And after all this there is the angle of the Revolutionary Army movements, Blackbeard crew invading left and right….I think I have already proven my point.
2-MOST PERSONAL: I don’t think I have to elaborate so much in this one. Two words are sufficient…KUMA’S FLASHBACK. Tell me that it wasn’t personal when Saturn revealed he was behind all the sufferings of Kuma and tell me it wasn’t personal when THAT PUNCH landed.
3-HIGH STAKES: In Wano the Straw Hats crew was really against their largest challenge and toughest opponents. But Egghead arc is all about proving themselves! The moment the Egghead Incident is known to the people of One Piece verse, mark my words it will be gigantic. And we are just 7 minutes away from THE TRUTH OF THE WORLD!
