Latest Chapter highlights the biggest difference between Kaido and Big Mom

Something I like about the latest chapter is how Kaido actually cares about his subordinates.

The sheer level of respect Kaido has for Jack makes you really think about Queen and King talking down to him constantly. This guy rushed to the top and held off an army of Sulong Minks alongside his troops to ensure Kaido’s safety and when he falls Kaido, a man all about strength, doesn’t berate him for it but acknowledges Jack’s difficulty against his opponents and refuses to let him die.

Not even just about his life, Kaido is actually supportive of Jack’s self-esteem. The guy is always bullied by Queen and King, but Kaido out here is like “hey man it’s not your fault, you still did good.”
Kaido acknowledging the Minks’ strength shows how scary they can be in their Sulong form. Wano’s progression has been so great.

It’s interesting that both Big Mom and Kaido have these soft sides. They’re tyrannical destructive monsters, but Big Mom is still about multiculturalism in a world that’s rife with racial discrimination and class disparity, while Kaido is very supportive and defensive of his own crew.

It’s also amazing how Kaido and Big Mom contrast one another: Kaido starves and enslaves his territory while Big Mom over feeds her people and allows them to live in peace… Kaido treats his crew with the utmost respect especially his Commanders while Big Mom actually kills her own sons and has her crew conspiring against her.

Kaido is such a multi dimensional character, so ruthless as a villain. But he can also respect opponents and does not berate his crew. Alcohol intoxication can turn him into this careless asshole though. His flashback is gonna be very interesting!

Does the new opening hint at Straw Hats team ups in Onigashima?
